Today, the newly excavated western section of area 3000 was cleaned during the first hour of the day. Two possible burial features were seen and a small extension of the western excavation was created to investigate. A more friable silty gravel and dark soil were the primary indicators of the soil disturbance. The extension measured about 1 m by two and was 2 m south of the northern border. After investigating the soil disturbances, the presence of burials could still not be determined. Due to the lack of visible burials, the students instead extended the eastern border of neighboring area 2000 by around 2 meters to excavate 3 visible burials. The investigation of area 3000 is expected to continue at the conclusion of the excavation of these burials.
